In early 2019, NCBL decided to remove the current overgrown plantings on the Pine Street post office drop off and replace the landscaping with new plants and a new vision.

The new planting design and plan was created by NCBL member and landscape designer Ty Tan of Ty Tan Designs.

In April of that year, in order to stabilize and prepare the nearby slope for planting, the town brought in large rocks and boulders.  Rob Carpenter, Yvonne Hunkeler, Faith Kerchoff, Kathy Lapolla, and Ty Tan then worked with our town DPW crew to get the large shrubs planted in the area.  Further plantings of perennials and annuals were then done in May by our NCBL volunteers.

The maintenance, weeding, and additional plantings are done by dedicated NCBL volunteers.
